Warm Cranberry Sauce

Native Americans prized the cranberry for its’ nutritional and medicinal properties and today’s scientist’s concur. Along with being among the richest sources of disease fighting antioxidants, cranberries also help prevent E.coli bacteria from adhering to the body’s cells and causing infection! They are also high in Vitamin C and fiber, both of which are essential for optimal health and wellness.

So I think it’s time to break out your Thanksgiving cranberry sauce more often!

SlimGenics Cranberry Sauce Recipe

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 2 teaspoons granulated Splenda®

Cook the cranberries in the water, until soft, making sure to press as they cook to release the juice. Put through a sieve and return to pan. Add granulated Splenda® and orange zest to taste. Heat thoroughly, stirring frequently. Serve hot.
