Lana’s Perfectly Portioned Pizza & Marinara

One of the things clients are constantly surprised by is the idea that they don’t have to sacrifice the foods they love while losing weight. This delicious pizza recipe is so filling and perfectly crispy. And to take it one step further, our amazing client Lana created her own healthy take on marinara sauce, free from added sugars and any unhealthy additives. It is perfect on pizza, zoodles, meatballs and more!

Perfectly-Portioned Pizza
1 Serving: 1 Vegetable, 1 Fat, ½ Protein, 1 Thermo-Snack
Recipe by Lana K.

1 package Old Fashioned Stack Pancake Mix
1 egg
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
½ tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried oregano
¼ cup water

1 tablespoon marinara sauce (see Lana’s Marinara recipe)
1 teaspoon olive oil
Bell Peppers
3 Olives
Tomato (optional)
Cilantro (for garnish)

Combine Stack Pancake mix with all crust ingredients and water. Mix together. Sauté all vegetables in olive oil with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Add 1 tablespoon of homemade marinara (see Lana’s Marinara recipe) on top of crust and place ¾ cup of vegetables on top. Bake at 375 °F for 5-7 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Garnish with cilantro.

Large Portion: Add 1 Tablespoon to Pizza, Spaghetti Squash, and more!

3 large tomatoes, blended
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup yellow onion, diced
¼ cup olive oil
2 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Stevia
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
½ cup low sodium chicken broth or water

Blend tomatoes for 1 minute. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil for 1-2 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer on low for 30 minutes.
