Bread Pudding with Holiday Sauce

When the Holidays are here, it seems like sweet cravings are even more irresistible! From the apple pie at Thanksgiving to all of the other sweet treats that find their way into holiday celebrations, these cravings are everywhere! The last thing you want to feel around the holidays is deprived, especially because deprivation can lead to later binging of off-plan foods.

This holiday season, try this bread pudding recipe for a sweet and gooey treat that will definitely get you into the holiday spirit and feeling anything but deprived. It’s the perfect addition to a special dinner, or to bring as a healthy option for your next get-together.

Bread Pudding Ingredients:
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. skim milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 packets stevia
1 slice diet (whole grain) bread

Mix together all ingredients, but the bread. Tear bread into small pieced and add to mixture. Place in custard cup. Set custard cup in baking dish containing one inch of water. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes, or until set. Cool slightly and top with holiday sauce (below)

Holiday Sauce Ingredients:
1 packet Vanilla Delight Shake/Pudding Thermo-Snacks®
1 packet stevia
1 tsp. vanilla extract
5 oz. water

Mix ingredients together. Cover bread pudding with two tablespoons of holiday sauce. Enjoy!
